Cool experiment! From the winter stuff I’ve played around with the past years I’d suggest some flexible use of the Auto Tone feature, a Soft Light blending mode and an Unsharp Mask.

I haven’t retouched any of my photos yet but that does seem pretty cool place to start investigating ways of enhancing them.
